Opening Remarks

The federal government, industry, and the critical infrastructure organizations they support face a common and unprecedented threat -- sophisticated and often crippling cyber-attacks that show no signs of slowing. It’s a challenge complicated by a significant shortage of skilled cyber-security professionals and varying levels of organizational preparedness. This summer, lawmakers introduced the bipartisan International Cybercrime Prevention Act – but it only represents one step toward a comprehensive cyber response for the United States. Meanwhile, government and industry leaders understand these attacks demand intelligent, pervasive, and automated security solutions. Oracle SVP Pat Mungovan welcomes speakers from the Federal Chief Information Security Officer Council, MITRE, and Oracle for important discussions of recent events and how organizations can prepare for these new cyber-threat realities.
